Question for conversation: If you operate CW, do you prefer a straight key or paddle?
Ron Hambric (N5SBN)
- ARES net next week 2022-07-05 08:30 on KD5DLW
- Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable 4th of July!
Matthew Barry (KG5LYE)
- I enjoy using both:
- straight key for the “fist” and for sending slowly
- iambic paddles for longer and faster
- also using fldigi for decoding (or operating really fast)
Lee Lance (KK5QO)
- prefer straight key – J38
- not as practiced with the paddles; tend to send too many symbols
KI5LQO

- first Field Day and first chance to make HF contact
- brought the family out and they enjoyed it too
- my son Cyrus made his first radio contact!
