- have used both types of “Beverage” antennas:
- soldered together some steel beer cans
- loaded it with S20R helicopter radio
- signal sensitivity measured in volts
- antenna performed very well
- Mr. Beverage’s antenna connected to Zenith Transoceanic
- also tried on a Silvertone receiver
- ran 300 ft across the road and out in the field
- listened to 2.2 MHz AM ship/shore radio
- soldered together some steel beer cans
