  • TS-2000 needs a preamp for VHF/UHF to be useful

    • Learned that my flight review is coming due (reminder to any pilots to verify your currency)
  • Icom IC-7300 has built-in attenuator and 2 different preamps
    • Great for making signals more readable
    • Attenuators great for fox hunts when you get closer to the transmitter
