  • Our next meeting is 21 December at the Red Cross office.
    • We will hold officer elections; However, we still need a nomination for Vice President. Please contact Mike Wisby (KA5HIA) or Harold Turbyfill (KG5SDG) if you would like to serve or if you would like to nominate someone you think would be a good fit for the position.
    • Unless there is a special request, there will not be a VE Test Session before the meeting. The next VE Test Session will be before our meeting in February.
  • ARRL has several event stations coming soon. Check their website HERE for a complete list.

W2W – Pearl Harbor Special Event, PO Box 1693, MS 4015, Baltimore, MD 21203. Amateur Radio Club of the National Electronics Museum (ARCNEM) will operate W2W in commemoration of the anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day and the role of electronics in WWII. Primary operation will be Dec 6-Dec 8 with additional operation possible during the Dec 1-Dec 5 period, as operator availability permits. Operation on 80M (3.541, 3.841) and digital modes possible during event. Frequencies +/- according to QRM. QSL and Certificate available via SASE; details at ww-2.us

  • Having some issues with access to the website in order to post meeting or net minutes. Working with Phil and Gerald to remedy the situation. I appreciate both of them for the time and effort they put in to helping our club!

  • Early renewals starting at the December meeting. Please renew your ARRL membership through the club as the club will get a “kick back”.
  • N1WP has the dmr repeater on TAMU campus. He said the replacement equipment should be functioning within this week. 444.550

  • Phil Gates (N5ZKF) Just like to reiterate that we need a nominee for the Vice President’s position in the club and that we need a quorum in order to ratify the vote at our next meeting. Please make every effort to attend.
