  • Keep an eye on Hurricane Delta, though as it is forecast to move forecast to move into the Gulf and head toward Louisiana.
  • ARRL Learning Center and the ARRL Learning Network http://www.arrl.org/arrl-learning-network
  • I’ve been trying a different antenna and have had some luck with 40 and 20 meters, although noise has been high still.
  • Interesting special event station on the air for Fire Prevention Week.  You can read about it at https://hamfire.com/  4-10 October.  Work 10 or twelve stations and get a certificate.
  • Arizona QSO Party is this weekend. https://www.azqsoparty.org/
  • Also quite a few parks on the air 10-18 October.
  • Don’t forget the birthday of our own United States Navy, October 1775.  USS Midway Museum ship will be on the air 10 October for that event.  They are advertising 20 and 40 meters.
  • Don’t forget about our meeting on Saturday, 17 October.
    • I’ll have an update on work being done for the Midtown Park project and others.
    • I’m thinking about running Zoom at the same time as our on-air activities.
    • It would sure be nice to have a short presentation while we are at  it.
