Announcements / Comments

Gerald Golub (W5VUI)

  • My vanity call is/was my grandfather’s call sign.

Bill Rose (K5WTR)

  • WTR: My initials. My original call suffix was SCC and everyone heard “FCC”, so I decided to get my vanity.

Mike Wisby (KA5HIA)

  • 2 sisters ages 7 & 9 at tested with me.. I got my Novice License but let it expired.. Retested with w5bcs. Got tech and General but FCC gave me some KE5??? call that I cant remember. I couldnt stand it and got my original call as a vanity.
  • w5bcs has supported NA5DB Battleship of Texas club. The ship is closed and have been removing a lot of equipment to do repair work. Once finished, it will end up at another port on TX coast. TX allocated $35M to it’s restoration but it will take more like $115M. Taking bids from ports

Terry Field (KM5TDF)

Passed tech test at field day this year. Wanted something with my initials. Kept the “Five” call for location.
